Review Forevermore by Cindy Miles
Title: Forevermore
Author: Cindy Miles
Format: ebook ARC & Paperback
Source: NetGalley/Arcycling
Publisher: Scholastic
REVIEW:
I ADORED this book. I have a soft spot for Scotland and Scottish guys so that immediately drew me in. I also firmly believe that there are not enough YA books about ghosts. I have read TWO really great series that were mainly about ghosts and that pales in comparison to the amount of Vampire and Werewolf YA books that exist.
This is Cindy Miles first YA books and I sincerely hope to see more from her in the near future. I can tell she is very passionate about her writing because her book drew me in and I felt the emotions that Ivy felt. I must admit that I did cry. I cried when Logan was gone and I cried when he came back. I do wish there was a tad more back story with Ivy's father and her life before Niall and Scotland. The love between Logan and Ivy is so innocent and heartfelt.
My favorite character has to be Jonas. He is pretty "in the know" for an older fellow. I really did not like Elizabeth. If I was Ivy I don't think I could have held my tongue. But Elizabeth's character did help with the drama in the book. And what is a book without drama? Emma was a great bestfriend character and Serrus was perfect for Emma.
I find it beautiful that the song in the end of the book is called "Forevermore". The title fits the book perfectly. I am so glad that Logan came back. I don't know what I would have done if the book had ended any differently.
In short I would say this book is emotional, haunting and riveting. This is definitely a book I am going to buy and read again!
Overall I give the book 5 Kittys.

Well so much for being able to do a book haul video. My home has been pretty insane with cops being called and fights and everything. But I will post a picture of the books and hopefully I will get to do my video soon.

Naughty...
So, I've been a bad girl this week. I've gotten over 50 books. -gasp-
I know, I know, that's A LOT. And I'm not sure exactly how to post them. I think I'm going to take pictures first and then do a book haul video.
I am currently reading Forevermore by Cindy Miles. It's really good.
I promise to return with pictures of my STS soon. I've just been really lazy because of the tooth pulling and pain medicine.
zzzzzzz -drools-

This is just going to be a random update to let everyone know that I'm still alive. I finally had my tooth pulled on Monday. It actually didn't hurt at all. But now I am in the recovery phase and I feel both better and worse.
Today, I decided to actually organize my bookshelves. I also decided that I want to try making video blogs of the books I get. I wont go so far as to do video reviews because I am a writer. And I will also still post STS and such for those of you who don't like watching videos.
I did get a new book haul, twelve books in total. And I will take pictures and post them later. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. And Happy, almost, 4th of July!

Stacking the Shelves (4)
Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.
I decided to be naughty, since I won't want to feel like going anywhere after I get this tooth pulled on Monday, and went to the Harrisburg, PA 2nd & Charles. I brought some stuff to trade in, got there around 6:30 and I didn't get to leave until AFTER they closed at 9 because they took that long to get to my stuff. If you didn't have the time to get through everyones buybacks then you shouldn't have TAKEN THEM. I was so furious. I have never had such horrible customer service at any of the stores I've gone to. But I did get a few books while I was waiting. And I thought I would treat myself with a full priced book, so I got Invisibility. How was everyones week? Did you get any new books or items?
It finally came in at the library! YAY!
I needed this for 3 reasons. 1. It comes with another wire so I don't have to keep unplugging mine from the wall to put books on my Nook. 2. I need a car charger for when I got to Myrtle Beach in August. 3. It comes with another wire for the older nook and I happen to have the older and the newer ones =)

I finished Carrier of the Mark this morning. I know, I know, I should have been done a while ago. It was actually a VERY quick read. I've just been very busy and sick. But, all-in-all, it's been a pretty decent week. I got a few new books, with my epic amount of store credit, that I will post later and it finally stopped raining.
Also, I am going to be tinkering with my format for reviews and such. I'm looking for a more "professional" look I guess.
Here is my review:
REVIEW: After getting through the weird similarities to Twilight, I actually started to really like this book. The beginning was lacking a bit and there wasn't very much action at all until the last 20 pages or so. Taking place in Ireland, I expected to feel like I was in Ireland and that just didn't happen. I didn't picture anyone with an accent or anything. To me, the book could have taken place in Oklahoma and it would have still felt the same. I didn't really feel any strong emotions for any of the characters and I didn't connect with anyone. Megan seems like a very strong protagonist but I have a feeling she would be nothing without Adam. I just feel that the characters were lacking feelings and personality. The relationship with Megan and Adam was thrown at me in chapter one. No leading, no surprises, just BAM. And it's kind of hard not to be able to predict whats going to happen between them. The book itself is very creative and unique with the idea of the elements and royal family and such. But as I said, there was just no emotional connection for me and the end was a very emotional part. The book was a very quick read for me. I read the last 80 pages in less than an hour. I really did like the book I just found myself wanting more than what was offered to me.

Here is my review:
Title:
Carrier of the Mark
Author:
Leigh Fallon
Format:
Paperback
Source:
Bought
Publisher:
HarperTeen
The one aspect of the book that I did really like was how Megan kept a NORMAL life while she was involved with training and her supernatural side. Most books like this, the protagonist ends up completely shunning her normal friends and becomes entirely engulfed in their new life.
My opinion of this book goes back and forth. At times it
was a five star books, others it was a 3 star book. So, overall, I give
the book 4 Kitty's.

Rant/Stacking the Shelves (3)
I am having an extremely stressful day. It started out great! My fiance got me flowers:
Then he took me to 2nd and Charles again so I could sell some books and games. I got a whopping $124 in store credit. I was sooo happy. I bought some more books with that money and I also got my fiance 4 vintage Star Wars figures for his collection. Then we went to Microcenter so he could buy his new motherboard. Then we went to eat at Red Robin, went to Barnes and Noble to get a copy of The Testing, they were sadly sold out, and then we went home. I then got online to pay one of our credit card bills and come to find out they returned my last payment that I made a month ago and didn't bother telling me so now I have fees fees fees. I tried contacting them only to find out that they are nothing more than a scam company hell bent on destroying peoples credit. I have since written my states attorney general and the BBB(better business bureau) in hopes for some help in cancelling my card and getting rid of this scamming company. Everyone stay clear of Credit One Bank. There are so many complaints about them online and they will ruin your life.
But on a better note. I am going to post the books I have gotten. I haven't spent a penny on them because I have A LOT of store credit =)

OMG OMG OMG!!! You guys remember the hermit crab that got out of the cage THREE weeks ago? Well.. we found her! ALIVE! I kicked her across the bathroom and I was like what the heck was that? I turned round and see this little Hello Kitty shell. I said to myself, she is definitely dead =(. I picked her up and she jumped at me! I am soooo excited. Sorry, I just needed to post that. I got some new books today I will post about later. Thanks for listening to me =P
Hello again! I just had someone ask me a few questions and I'd like to take the time to answer them as best as I can.
The first question was "Wow, you sure get a lot of books. Where do you get all of them from?"
Well, most of the books I own, I have bought. I'm willing to say that about 1/5th of them came from Paperbackswap. Another 2/5ths came from 2nd and Charles. And the other 2/5th came from Barnes & Noble, Borders or other Book retail shops. A few have come from Goodwills/thrift stores. Some have come from friends. They have just accumulated over the years.
The second question was "How do you get copies of books before they come out?"
I honestly can say that if you want to start a blog, don't go looking for ARC's immediately. It will make it seem like you only want free books and no one wants to give away free stuff unless you actually show REAL interest in what you do.
The majority of the ARC's I have gotten have been from NetGalley. I am not well established enough in the blogging community to have received that many actual physical copies of ARC's and that is fine with me because I blog because I love to read. NOT because I want free this and free that. If that was the case I would just go to the library. Receiving and ARC is a huge privilege and honor and it should be treated as such.
So, to answer the question, you can get ARC's by contacting publishers, authors, Goodreads, etc.
And the last question was "Is a blog hard work?"
Yes and no. I enjoy what I do. It is hard work keeping up with updates and reviews and followers but, to me, it's entirely worth it. Just make sure you can put in the time before you start a blog. Since I work at home basically, I always have time to read/write.
Thank you for your questions and I hope my answers have helped you out!

I JUST finished Unravel Me. Literally about 10 minutes ago. And I tried to go to sleep after finishing it but I just laid here thinking about the book. I'm praying to the book Gods that there is going to be a third book. I NEEEEEEEED to know who Juliette ends up with. Anyways, here is my review(as I sit here dying because I need answers).
Unravel Me
Tahereh Mafi
REVIEW:
WHOA. I'm not even sure where to begin. Team Adam? Team Warner? By the end of the book, shockingly, I was Team Warner. It took me a little while to get into this book. Mainly because of how whiny and self consumed Juliette was. Everything was about her her her. Boy did she get the shock of her life, along with a much needed wake up call, when Kenji and Castle opened up her pretty green/blue eyes to the fact that she was just one person among millions. One tiny, whiny, little girl who needed to grow up and stop feeling sorry for herself.
I know there have been a lot of bad reviews for this series but I honestly can't see why. I mean, yes, the authors way of repeating words and crossing others out is a bit out there but she's UNIQUE. Has anyone ever heard of that word? Because I'm starting to think everyone wants all authors to be like J. K. Rowling, Stephenie Myers and dare I say Nora Roberts.
I've never had so much emotional attachment to a book before. Probably around the middle of the book I started to feel every emotion Juliette felt. I was confused when she was confused and I was upset when she was upset.
Normally you can get a feel for most book and you can sort of predict the events that are going to happen. Not with this book. I was in shock for almost the entire duration of reading. I don't want to say it was an emotional roller coaster but it was definitely a theme park ride of some nature. I am slightly angry about the way it ended. Who does she pick? What happens to Anderson? What happened to Adam? Kenji? All of the read of the people from Omega Point? I'm just seriously hoping that there is going to be a third book. And, honestly, I don't know how I'm going to move on from this book. I have so many unanswered questions floating through my head and I want answers... NOW!
Overall, I give the book 5/5 stars.

Stacking The Shelves (2)
I won't be buying anymore books for a while. So after this post, any books I get will either be from PBS or from NetGalley. BUT 2nd and Charles was having a good sale this weekend so I couldn't help myself(buy 5, get 5 free). ANOTHER BUT... I didn't spend any money. I took ehh about 30 books plus 1 Wii game and 1 Bluray to the exchange place there and I got $36 in store credit and only spent $27. So I still have $9 in store credit and I walked out of there with 10 new books... which I am about to show you.
These are the books I bought this week.
I got The Sweetest Dark from the library because...
I received an ARC of the second book in the series. =)
Well... That is all for now. I am still reading Unravel Me. Juliette is pissing me off a bit in this one. So we shall see how it ends.

Stacking The Shelves (1)
Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews.
I haven't bought any physical copies this week. I'm actually trying to be a good girl and cut back. But I have gotten a fairly good amount of eBooks from Netgally. I even managed to get 2 books I've been dying to read.
I'm hoping to get approved for a few more books. Can never have enough On-The-Go reading material.
