Oh, this book. This book is about a very touchy subject and it shows how a life can be ruined just by association.
I couldn't even begin to imagine being in Liz's shoes. She loses her best friend, her boyfriend, her ability to take pictures and her respect for her brother all in a matter of a few months.
All friends fight and normally things get fixed after a while but Kate has something terrible happen to her. I don't think it was completely fair that Kate shut Liz out. I know it was Liz's brother, Mike, that did it but Liz had nothing to do with it.
I am not sure whether Mike knows what he did because he was drunk or if he just doesn't care. Then, on the other hand, I am not sure if Kate was being entirely honest.
It is just so sad that Liz loses everything just because of her brother, something she had no control over. Then Liz is put in a horrible position of who to believe. Family or friend? Could you imagine that someone you love could be capable of hurting your friends in unspeakable ways?
Overall, I gave the book 4/5 Mini Kitties.
